Having worked extensively with this client previously, where she was successful in getting the role she had been searching for, she requested that I complete an upgrade to her resume. The aim was to reflect the further experiences she had gained in her current role.
After a lengthy discussion, I readjusted the document so that it accurately reflected the future jobs she was targeting. During the consultation, I guided the client through the key achievements and responsibilities of her current position and used these in the writing. I also amended the previous role so that it read as past tense.
Because I had worked with this client before, I was able to take my previous knowledge of her position and her personality to accurately provide an up-to-date and accurate resume reflective of her skills and capabilities. This is the initial step in her continuing professional journey, and she has advised that when she finds the next role, she will be in touch for completion of Selection Criteria and Cover Letter.
