The client was a mature student who had initially been trained in Early Childhood Education but since the birth of her own children had worked in Customer Service roles. She was completing her Diploma in Nursing and wanted to apply immediately for roles within aged care or as an AIN. She also wanted to use the resume and cover letter in the future to apply for graduate positions.
As she had not needed a resume for a lengthy period of time, she didn’t have an old one and therefore during our consultation, I found out all information and requested she send me further details regarding Professional Development etc. She also sent feedback from her placement which I was able to use to illustrate her abilities as reported by her mentors.
As a result, I am happy that I have created a strong resume and cover letter which mentions her transferable skills gained in previous employment, but which focuses on her knowledge of nursing and the skills required for her chosen career.
