Entry level Software Engineering – Resume, Cover Letter and LinkedIn
The client had over ten years of experience in various business support and administrative roles, and was looking for a career change. Her goal was to work in the Software Engineering industry.
In order to complete her resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile, I engaged her in a discussion to determine her goals, skills and abilities. With limited experience in software engineering, apart from a recent certification in Software Engineering, I was able to gain from her the relevant skills applicable to the technology industry.
The elements I captured in her resume were a passion for finding solutions to problems and her ability to listen to client requirements. Having completely restructured her current resume and cover letter, I significantly changed and added new content making the entire document tailored to gaining an entry-level software engineering position.
