Operational Manager – Mining and Resources

After several years in project management positions, the client was keen to move into more of an operational management role, and required a new resume, cover letter and LinkedIn profile to reflect his capabilities, skills and experience. During the consultation, we discussed the client’s wish to portray his interest in maintaining a hands-on role that enabled him to apply his leadership, business and technical acumen. As a qualified engineer, it was important to showcase his knowledge of all engineering disciplines, his ability to motivate and lead teams, and his understanding of organisational structures and goals. We drew from his existing experience, and the positive outcomes he had achieved whilst managing concurrent projects – such as re-engaging stakeholders, improving client relationships, explaining technical terminology to diverse audiences, and turning around projects that were troubled or failing.

By showing the client’s exposure to diverse projects in several industries on both his LinkedIn profile and resume, he is well-placed to attract interviews from organisations that reflect his specialist knowledge in sustainability and energy markets.
