This client had high-level experience in oil and gas and aviation industries and was looking to secure a new role where he could apply his technical leadership skills and knowledge of business systems. The client did not have a current resume, although he utilised a LinkedIn profile well.
When clients become entrenched in an organisation for a long time, and are seeking employment in a new company, it is important to not litter their resume with acronyms that are not relevant outside their current place of employment. It was important to spell these out so that potential employers can understand their meaning and relevance.
During the consultation we discussed the achievements the client had made during his extensive experience within one of Australia’s leading oil and gas organisations. He had excellent experience shown in his job titles and responsibilities, and he was able to clarify the positive impacts he had made in relation to cost savings, safety improvements, cultural change and performance.
His key skills were highlighted in sections, ranging from Operational Expertise (technical), Leadership, WHS and Interpersonal Attributes, and his profile showcased him as a professional leader who has strong business acumen, and is committed to safety and continuous improvement.
