Nurse Resume and Cover Letter
The client had recently gained a Diploma of Nursing and was currently working as an Assistant in Nursing within an aged care facility. With limited experience within nursing, her aim was to gain an entry-level nursing position.
In order to complete her resume and cover letter, I engaged the client in a discussion gathering her education, qualifications and employment history information. Using her current experience and skills as well as drawing out further skills and experience required for entry-level nursing positions, I developed her resume and cover letter.
The key elements I captured in her resume were:
- passion for progressing a career within nursing and her dedication to continuous professional development
- working collaboratively within the healthcare team to promote safe nursing practices
- her proven abilities to ensure quality patient care
Having completely restructured her current resume and cover letter, I significantly changed and added new content making the entire document more professional, readable and tailored to gaining a nursing position.
