With a limit of two pages to address four key selection criteria, the aim was to include four high-quality examples with enough detail to demonstrate strong skills and knowledge. The position being applied for is a leadership role, so management qualities needed to be weaved throughout.
The consultation process focused on identifying relevant examples that could meet the requirements of criteria whilst integrating core leadership attributes. The client was able to provide evidence of strong achievements in department oversight, educational outcomes and behaviour management. This was an excellent foundation for the final piece.
The final piece was split evenly between the four criteria, each with a strong example from the recent professional experiences of the client. Management skills from both the education environment and the client’s previous career were embedded, creating an overall picture of a candidate who is ideal for the vacancy.
