Katherine joined the Select Resumes team in 2014 with a previous career in human resource management and employment relations. Having worked for a number of large and medium-sized resource organisations, including Xstata, Thiess and New Hope Coal. Katherine has a thorough understanding of the requirements of many professional, trade, technical and operation roles in the mining and construction industries. Katherine also has previous experience in administration, customer service and business management.
Having worked for several years in generalist HR positions which included end-to-end recruitment for a broad range of positions, she is well versed on what catches the eyes of recruiters and HR personnel when reviewing job applications, as well as how to address specific position requirements, qualifications and experiences comprehensively. In conjunction with recruitment activities, Katherine has also led organisations to undertake EBA negotiations and manage other industrial relations issues, developed leadership training programs, supported managers in performance reviews and behaviour management, overseen employee remuneration and benefits reviews, and has undertaken legal compliance.
Katherine has qualifications in several areas of HR, including Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations, Targeted Selection Interviewing techniques, McQuaig System psychometric assessment interpretations, Antidiscrimination Commission Queensland training to manage EEO issues, and has attended a multitude of industry conferences and seminars.
Katherine is able to ascertain each client’s most favoured and relevant skills and experiences and articulate them in a professional manner, presented in a standout resume and cover letter package for a wide range of clients from entry level to experienced mining managers, trade workers, administrators and other business professionals.
