Clinical Nurse – Rural Multi-Purpose Service Operations

My client was an experienced Registered Nurse, who was applying for a Clinical Nurse role in her current workplace. The brief was to provide a current resume, cover letter and statement that addressed several selection criteria points, demonstrating her suitability for the position. The candidate needed to show advanced nursing skills and leadership capabilities, as well as knowledge of the practice setting, which included Indigenous Health, rural community health and challenges, and the ability to work under pressure with limited resources. Having worked in the role of an RN for several years, I highlighted the client’s experience in managing night shifts; outlining her ability to plan, coordinate and manage resources, provide supervision and leadership, and to work effectively with health care staff and service partners. By demonstrating the client’s commitment to continuing professional development, it is hoped that her current nursing skills, resourcefulness and knowledge of the site and community will stand her in good stead for consideration; undertaking future studies to complement the role and increased responsibilities.
